O JEJUM QUE AGRADA A DEUS!

Por que jejuamos nós, e tu não atentas para isso? Por que afligimos as nossas almas, e tu não o sabes? Eis que no dia em que jejuais achais o vosso próprio contentamento, e requereis todo o vosso trabalho. Eis que para contendas e debates jejuais, e para ferirdes com punho iníquo; não jejueis como hoje, para fazer ouvir a vossa voz no alto. Seria este o jejum que eu escolheria, que o homem um dia aflija a sua alma, que incline a sua cabeça como o junco, e estenda debaixo de si saco e cinza? Chamarias tu a isto jejum e dia aprazível ao SENHOR? Porventura não é este o jejum que escolhi, que soltes as ligaduras da impiedade, que desfaças as ataduras do jugo e que deixes livres os oprimidos, e despedaces todo o jugo? Porventura não é também que repartas o teu pão com o faminto, e recolhas em casa os pobres abandonados; e, quando vires o nu, o cubras, e não te escondas da tua carne? Então romperá a tua luz como a alva, e a tua cura apressadamente brotará, e a tua justiça irá adiante de ti, e a glória do SENHOR será a tua retaguarda. Então clamarás, e o SENHOR te responderá; gritarás, e ele dirá: Eis-me aqui. Se tirares do meio de ti o jugo, o estender do dedo, e o falar iniquamente; E se abrires a tua alma ao faminto, e fartares a alma aflita; então a tua luz nascerá nas trevas, e a tua escuridão será como o meio-dia. E o SENHOR te guiará continuamente, e fartará a tua alma em lugares áridos, e fortificará os teus ossos; e serás como um jardim regado, e como um manancial, cujas águas nunca faltam... ...Eis que a mão do SENHOR não está encolhida, para que não possa salvar; nem agravado o seu ouvido, para não poder ouvir. Fasting that pleases God

-Wherefore have we fasted, and thou seest not; have afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find what pleaseth {you}, and exact all your labours. Behold, ye have fasted for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness; ye do not at present fast, to cause your voice to be heard on high. Is such the fast that I have chosen, a day for a man to afflict his soul, -that he should bow down his head as a bulrush, and spread sackcloth and ashes {under him}? Wilt thou call this a fast, and a day acceptable to Yahweh? Is not this the fast which I have chosen: to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the thongs of the yoke, and to send forth free the crushed, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring to thy house the needy wanderers; when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the dawn, and thy health shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go before thee, the glory of Yahweh shall be thy rearguard. Then shalt thou call, and Yahweh will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am. Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. {neglecting: or, punishing, or, not sparing} (Colossians 2:6-10, 16-23 KJV) This is the Word of our Almighty God, listen it!


Portanto, assim como vocês receberam a Cristo Jesus, o Senhor, continuem a viver nele, enraizados e edificados nele, firmados na fé, como foram ensinados, transbordando de gratidão. Tenham cuidado para que ninguém os escravize a filosofias vãs e enganosas, que se fundamentam nas tradições humanas e nos princípios elementares deste mundo, e não em Cristo. Pois em Cristo habita corporalmente toda a plenitude da divindade, e, por estarem nele, que é o Cabeça de todo poder e autoridade, vocês receberam a plenitude... ...Portanto, não permitam que ninguém os julgue pelo que vocês comem ou bebem, ou com relação a alguma festividade religiosa ou à celebração das luas novas ou dos dias de sábado. Estas coisas são sombras do que haveria de vir; a realidade, porém, encontra-se em Cristo. Não permitam que ninguém que tenha prazer numa falsa humildade e na adoração de anjos os impeça de alcançar o prêmio. Tal pessoa conta detalhadamente suas visões, e sua mente carnal a torna orgulhosa. Trata-se de alguém que não está unido à Cabeça, a partir da qual todo o corpo, sustentado e unido por seus ligamentos e juntas, efetua o crescimento dado por Deus. Já que vocês morreram com Cristo para os princípios elementares deste mundo, por que é que vocês, então, como se ainda pertencessem a ele, se submetem a regras: "Não manuseie! " "Não prove! " "Não toque! "? Todas essas coisas estão destinadas a perecer pelo uso, pois se baseiam em mandamentos e ensinos humanos. Essas regras têm, de fato, aparência de sabedoria, com sua pretensa religiosidade, falsa humildade e severidade com o corpo, mas não têm valor algum para refrear os impulsos da carne.(Colossenses 2:6-10, 16-23 NVI) Está é a Palavra do nosso Deus Todo-Poderoso, ouça isso!
